We are Hiring an Outside Sales/Business Developer for Alpine Building Supply!

Position Summary: Focus on the development of new contacts to expand Alpine’s network of contractors

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Making calls to prospective customers
  • Visit customers and help them with their needs
  • Quote roofing and building projects for current and prospective customers
  • Complete material lists for upcoming projects
  • Foster relationships with new customers

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Sales and customer service knowledge
  • Knowledge of building materials
    • Retain lumber yard experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills both in person and over the phone
  • Interpersonal skills including professionalism, patience and courtesy

Education and experience:

  • Construction experience preferred
  • Sales experience

Position details:

  • First shift, daytime hours. Some weekends and evenings may apply
  • Must be organized and be able to prioritize and work under minimal supervision
  • Must have strong communication and documentation skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to analyze and propose changes conducive to eliminating or reducing
    repetitive tasks ad streamlining workflow
  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle and have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work sales events as needed

Physical requirements:

  • Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods of time
  • Communicate effectively using speech, vision, hearing and writing
  • Ability to bend, squat, crawl, climb and reach
  • Possess visual acuity to read, and work at computer workstation

Compensation:  Is a salary base rate, plus commission.
