JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Schuylkill is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to create compelling content that will delight our audiences across a broad mix of channels. 


The successful candidate will: 

  • Develop marketing communications materials for Penn State Schuylkill that may include print, digital, and other collateral that is aligned with the campus strategic plan and departmental strategic communication goals. The development of these materials may include writing, designing, photography, video production, web content management, social media management, and more.

  • Collaborate in the planning of marketing and/or communications strategy; intake strategic communications requests from assigned campus departments, prioritize and schedule project timelines, and maintain strong, positive relationships with staff and faculty in those areas.

  • Provide campus event coverage to include promoting events in advance; attending events to take photos and videos; and reporting on events via social media and/or news stories.

  • Produce a weekly campus e-newsletter and monthly alumni and career development e-newsletters, as well as one-off event emails as appropriate. 

  • Update content and maintain the campus website, schuylkill.psu.edu. Monitor and track analytics of website and digital traffic. Maintain campus calendar and campus listservs.

  • Ensure University brand guidelines and standards are met across all communication vehicles. 

  • Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and other University offices as necessary. Monitor and reconcile related marketing expenditures.

  • Supervise and direct the work of part-time, student workers.

 

This position typically requires:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience 

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  

 

This position will require the successful completion of standard background checks.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:


$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
