Basic Functions:
The Marketing & Communications Manager at CACL Credit Union strategically promotes the credit union's purpose, vision, mission, values, while enhancing member engagement, fostering community relationships, and maintaining brand integrity, thereby driving growth, loyalty, and financial well-being within our membership and community. They effectively translate goals and strategies to actual campaigns using a multitude of channels. The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for both the internal and external campaigns across multiple media platforms and portals and has the principal responsibility to share and embody the CACL stories.
Specific Duties of the Marketing & Communications Manager:
• Collaborates with the entire Executive Team to fully understand the Credit Union’s products and
services for communication needs.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to support the credit union’s overall brand, product
and service promotions and member engagement/satisfaction.
• Research industry trends and demographics in the field of membership and develop recommendations for products and services or marketing programs.
• Coordinate member surveys. Interact with members to research member needs. Analyze member feedback and report on results.
• Obtain and/or coordinate bids for all phases of the production of marketing materials.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts to produce marketing materials.
• Help train staff in cross-selling and marketing techniques.
• Handle member and employee inquiries about promotional and marketing programs.
• Ensure compliance and proper branding in marketing and promotional materials.
• Presents design ideas and recommendations to marketing committee.
• Creates and effectively schedules content for multiple social media platforms.
• Assists with updating the credit union’s website.
• Assists with maintaining marketing supplies and inventory controls. (Logo’d shirts, promotional
items, brochures etc.)
• Maintains portfolio of completed campaigns, advertisements, and press releases with samples of all marketing pieces.
• Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
• Attends community events as a representative of CACL.
• Performs other duties as assigned."
Required Skills/Abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel (locally) with mileage reimbursement
• Experience with social media and communication portals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with the Marketing Campaign lifecycle
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Google Analytics and Content Management Systems
Preferred
• Credit Union Experience Strongly Preferred
Physical Requirements: Candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing for prolonged periods. Exerting up to 30 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have verbal, vision, and auditory acuity. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment. Must have the ability to walk short distances, use stairs, lift, and carry small parcels.
Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications or related field OR Three to Five years of relevant work experience.
