Position: Church SextonLocation: United Presbyterian Church Pottsville, Pa We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Church Sexton. The Church Sexton plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the church building and grounds. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the church facilities are clean, organized, and welcoming for all visitors and members.Responsibilities:- Cleaning and maintaining the church building, including sanctuary, fellowship hall, restrooms, and offices. - Setting up and arranging furniture for events, services, and meetings.

- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing minor repairs, and ensuring the building is in good condition.

- Managing supplies and inventory for cleaning and maintenance purposes.- Assisting with special events and activities hosted at the church.

-Providing support to the pastor and church staff as needed and any additional responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications:- Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred.- Ability to work independently and efficiently.- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.- Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks and responsibilities.- Understanding and respect for the church environment and its values.If you are a dedicated and hardworking individual with a passion for maintaining a clean and welcoming church environment, we invite you to apply for the position of Church Sexton.
